Himegyaru mask!!

Since I've been making a lot of nails lately, I thought I should get a dust mask. (To minimise breathing in toxic fumes like nail varnish/acetone etc - also to minimise breathing in dust from filing).

They arrived today but they looked a little dull......... so I deco-d them! Haha

So here is what I did:

I stuck 2 masks together to make the base sturdier

Then I sewed on some pink satin-ish cloth, then white lace on top of that.

Sewed on a few bits of lace as a trim for the edges.

Then stuck on a few cute things!

Result:

I really love it! I also ordered a few things from Ebay and I'm so impatient for them to get here! I've ordered some things that will enable me to start making 3d acrylic nails! I've always wanted to make them but never knew what liquid I needed for it, but now I know! I've also ordered a dappen dish and I'm going to deco that too!

I did different eye makeup today, you can't really see it properly but there's a ton of glitter. Pink glitter on the pink, yellow on the yellow and white on the white! I also did a smaller eye shape for a change.

Oh, ignore my eyebrows! I'm trying to grow them back to see what they look like. I haven't had real eyebrows for like 5 years I think! Hahaha >_< I'll shave them off again when they're back........ actually, it will probably be before that since I'm so impatient haha

I'm waiting for some Monomer to get here and then I can start making acrylic nails! I can't wait, I've wanted to make some for so long, but never knew what I needed to use for it! I'm also waiting for some resin >_<

So, I decided to share a little tip with you! If you use clear nail polish a lot (I do!) then you probably throw away a lot of empty nail polish bottles!:

I love using empty clear nail polish bottles to create new shades of polish! 

Here you can see I used a white and a dark pink to create a barbie pink (I used this pink for the barbie nails):

And here I used a light pink and a beige to create a beige-pink (I used this for the simple nails as shown above):

And here I added a small drop of red to some neon yellow to create this shade of yellow:

The original yellow (left) is luminous, and reminds me of a reflective jacket. It seemed to cheapen any nails I painted with it. I love a summery-yellow shade, like the sun. The original yellow was far too neon.

Q) When is your collab channel airing?

A) This has been asked a lot and I'm sorry to have to say........ it won't be airing. It turns out there's already a channel that's just like the one I was creating, it actually sounds better than mine! Actually, it should be aired now, so go watch it! It's GyaruPopTv and was created by Shaka! I haven't seen it yet, so I can't link it but I'm sure you can just search for it.

Q) When will your next video be?

A) I've been ill pretty much since the GGA, I'm recovering now so I'm hoping to make another video soon. I'm not sure what video to make though! I'd love to make a short film, but can't think of a story that would be do-able! Haha

Q) Where do you buy your wigs?

A) I buy pretty much all my wigs from Ebay, not from any specific seller, I just search Ebay a lot!

Q) Why won't you add me on Facebook/Why did you delete me on Facebook?

A) Unfortunately I'm at my friend limit..... I'm actually like 800 people over it, no idea how that happened! But I've been at the limit for like 2 years now, I can add people once in a while if my friend count goes down a little, I have a lot of requests waiting. If Facebook lifts the limit I will add everyone.

In answer to the question 'Why did you delete me?': I delete almost everyone who posts junk on my wall or doesn't reply to a message from me. I VERY rarely message anyone, so if I take the time to message you and you don't reply I'll probably delete you, why are you on my friends list if you won't reply to a message, anyway?! As for posting junk on my wall, I mean things like 'Farmville' or 'Check out my band!' or 'Vote for me in this contest'! It also counts for sending me messages with things like that, most people who message me asking for votes etc get deleted. The only exceptions are if I recognize the person and don't want to delete them. 

This may seem a little harsh but I want to be able to answer and read messages that are sent to me without junk mail clogging up my inbox and I like to keep my wall tidy. If I didn't delete these people I would miss a lot of messages that are sent to me! I love getting messages or comments on my wall, as long as they're not junk!

That's a very asked question, so I'm happy to have finally answered it here!

So now I'll answer a few more questions from my Tumble inbox!

Q) How are the nails re-usable?

A) You can use double-sided nail tape. They're quite delicate but as long as you wear them decoratively (by which I mean 'not doing many manual things like washing the dishes or building a boat' etc) ...... anyway, as long as you're careful they should be fine. When I wear them for an occasion, I take them off in the car ride back home. However, when I wear a set consecutively, the parts will gradually fall off etc. You can always just stick them back on. I always carry around my nail glue and, when a part falls off, I just stick it back on. 

Q) Why don't you have any friends and who did you have before Neton?

A) I get asked this a lot, I'm not going into too much detail though. Basically, I just don't want friends. Before Neton I didn't have anyone, well apart from Brodie (my best friend - but she's not human, she's a border collie!). Anyway, I did everything on my own or with her. I still went to nightclubs and different places but I just did all those things on my own. I'm actually really lucky to be alive, people I knew back then keep telling me they thought I wad dead when they see me - hahaha charming! >_< 

Ah, I think I'm starting to feel a tiny bit better now, I think I mentioned I was ill again in my last post.

I feel like I have more to say..... oh well! You probably know how bad my memory is by now! <3

Recent buys and lots of nails

So, as you may know, I've been addicted to making nails lately!

So, here are a few I've been making:

Hm.... So, I think I'll start with this blue set:

I've never made a blue set before. Obviously, I'm usually obsessed with pink so if I make a set of 1 colour, it's gonna be pink!

I really like them though, I like the stripy one and the silver one that's covered in mirrors. I wish you could see them in real life, they're so shiny!

Next I'll show you another blue set, but these were made to match a new dress I bought for cheap on Ebay:

I made the nails to go with the dress when I wear it, I can't wait to wear them both together! I hope I get better soon >_< 

Here you can see them on the dress fabric. The blue and leopard print is separated by chains, just like on the cloth. I tried my best to match the blue shade to the dress.

Next I'll show you my first attempt at 'Ora ora' nails! I've never used red before....... I used to hate the colour, but I'm forcing myself to use it now. It's actually quite a nice colour!:

I tried to do a checked design on the thumb, but it's a little wonky! Then I used sanskrit to create a signature 'Ora ora' look!

Next are some new pink Himegyaru nails:

I just love using pink glitter so much, but I'm never satisfied with the end result..... I just want them to be pure pink, sparkly goodness! Haha

Now for another set:

I just went for a simple pink and gold design with these. A very minimal, 5 minute nail set.

As I said in my previous post, I've fallen in love with using fabric for nail art (There's a finished set in the previous post) 

Here's some I made today with some pink and gold fabric:

I seriously love these so much. I want to finish them but I don't know what to do....... what do you think?

I don't want to hide to prettiness of the pattern with big gems etc, but I don't want to leave them blank....... hm.......

Ooooh, next is one of my favourite fabric nails I've made so far:

It's a very shiny purple fabric. It looks almost like snakeskin, and it's kind of two-tone. I seriously love it!

Next is a shiny pink cloth:

Apart from, it doesn't look shiny because the uv gel needed to be evened out by filing and I think it scuffed the fabric a little or something. It kind of looks like pink demin though, so I still kind of like these.

And, lastly, are my least favourite:

It's actually the same cloth as the above set, just a darker shade of pink. It doesn't look pink in the photos though, it looks sort of red =/

So, they were some of the nails I've been making recently!

Last week a few things arrived from Ebay!

First is this awesome nail ring:

It's so cool, but it's a little big =[ I'll still find a way to wear it though >_<

Oh and this morning my new sports bra arrived! I lost my old one so I've been waiting for this for so long >_< I might deco it haha

And Neton brought me back some new nail files today, since I've used all my others up on all the nails I've been making! >_<

Matching nails OOTD and birthday party

So on Friday it was Netons little brothers birthday party! He turned 5! 

Here is what I wore:

I just wore the usual. I really miss my leopard print scarf >_< I can't find another one like it! I can't believe I lost it!

I decided to try making matching nails to the dress, I made them only a few hours before we set off haha

I used some left over cloth from the dress as the base for the nails, then applied uv nail gel over the top of it.

Then on other nails I did leopard print (to match my sleeves) and gold (I wore gold shoes)

I really love these nails, I've become obsessed with using fabric for nail bases now - I've made a few other bases with different fabric that's been laying around

I really love this new ring too:

I did very simple makeup, I haven't done my eyeliner so thin for a long time!

Q) What country do you find the strangest and why?

A) Hm..... I think it has to be the USA. I just relate to Americans the least out of everyone, I think. I don't know if it's just me and how I was raised. It's not necessarily a bad thing, like the families seem so close, the children actually have a say in how they're raised and get hugs and stuff. I don't think that's just America though because Netons family all hug each other - they hug me too! The first time his mum hugged me I didn't know what to do and just felt so awkward! Hahahaha I've never really hugged before. Hm.... seems like I can't explain the American thing. I just can't relate to America, they seem very closed off from the rest of the world, obviously not every American, but in general. I guess I don't really know much about America though!

Q) What is the thing on your forehead called?

A) I get asked this a lot, it depends which photo you're referring to. Bindis seem popular, I usually wear 'tikka'

Q) Have you done a nail or beauty course?

A) Nope, I've never had any lessons on anything like that. I'm self taught in almost every skill I have (Beauty related and otherwise)
